OpenSea denies rumors of forced customer identification related to airdrops

Internet reports that NFT platform OpenSea has denied reports that users claim they must complete detailed identity verification or KYC verification if they want potential airdrop rewards. "This is all complete disinformation," OpenSea CEO Devin Fenzer wrote in response to a post on the X platform that mentioned the terms of service on the OpenSea Foundation's website. The terms of service also mention that users will not be able to use VPNs and U.S. users will not be able to claim airdrop rewards. Finzer said the page contained "standard clichés" and "only existed briefly on the test site."
