Mike Alfred: Wall Street is trying to push down Bitcoin to put pressure on Strategy and other leveraged agents "
Mike Alfred, founder and managing partner of Alpine Fox LP, tweeted that there are signs that large Wall Street players are trying to hold down Bitcoin to put pressure on Strategy and other leveraged agents, which seems to be effective. If they can drive the price of bitcoin low enough, it will destroy the simple capital market mechanism these companies use to increase bitcoin. In this environment, it is much better to organically generate new bitcoins at a rate well below the market price than to use debt or equity to buy bitcoins on the open market to gain a "gain", and the market seems to be slowly realizing this trend.
