ARM为数据中心发布全新定制芯片

On February 21, ARM, the global semiconductor technology leader, announced the launch of a new set of chip manufacturing blueprints, aiming to significantly reduce the time required to develop custom data center chips, reducing the cycle to less than a year。This initiative is designed to streamline the development process and is expected to accelerate the innovation and deployment of custom chip solutions, which will have a profound impact on the semiconductor industry.。

Strategic cooperation with Samsung Electronics

In this strategic layout, ARM and Samsung Electronics are working together to develop the next generation of Cortex-X CPUs, using Samsung's latest full surround gate (GAA) process technology.。

The collaboration is said to accelerate the availability of the latest ARM CPUs, enabling new system-on-a-chip (SoC) systems with stronger AI capabilities.。The collaboration focuses on custom chips and AI chip solutions for next-generation data centers and infrastructure using 2nm GAA technology。

Neoverse Compute Subsystem Focuses on AI Performance

ARM also unveiled two additional Neoverse Compute Subsystem (CSS) blueprints focused on AI performance, developed in collaboration with Samsung, based on ARM's high-performance Cortex-X core and optimized for Samsung's 2nm production process.。

The Neoverse CSS portfolio includes CSS N3 and CSS V3, designed to deliver significant performance gains for AI and data analytics applications。CSS N3 focuses on power efficiency, while CSS V3 targets cloud, data center, AI, and high-performance computing (HPC) applications.。

This series of initiatives marks ARM's continued investment and innovation in the field of custom chips, heralding the further consolidation of its leading position in the semiconductor industry in the future.。
