Doo Financial granted securities trading licence to expand Hong Kong business

Doo Financial HK Limited has obtained a Class I (Securities Trading) licence from the Hong Kong SFC to provide comprehensive securities trading services to regional customers.。

Doo Financial HK Limited has been granted a Class I (Securities Trading) licence by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong to provide comprehensive securities trading services to regional customers.。

Doo Financial Receives Hong Kong Securities Licence

Doo Financial's business model, financial condition, corporate governance and personnel qualifications have all passed rigorous assessments, resulting in the SFC Category 1 license.。With this licence, Doo Financial HK Limited now has the right to execute securities transactions on behalf of clients, distribute securities such as unit trusts and mutual funds, act as joint bookrunner, and engage in placement and underwriting activities.。

Doo Financial said: "The Hong Kong market is critical to Doo Group and offers multiple strategic opportunities.。With this licence, we will expand our business areas, offer a wider range of financial services to investors and facilitate the discovery of new investment opportunities.。"

Previously, Doo Financial HK Limited has been granted Category 4 (Securities Advisory) and Category 9 (Asset Management) licences by the SFC to provide investment advisory and asset management services, and the new Category 1 licence complements these services.。

Continued expansion of the Doo Group

Prior to obtaining the SFC license, Doo Group recently announced the opening of a new office in Dubai to consolidate its position as a major global financial center.。

The Dubai office will have a team of experts specialising in digital technology, software development and customer support, aiming to cater to a growing regional customer base, offering tailor-made solutions and personalised services to meet their unique needs.。

In addition to the newly established office in Dubai, Doo Group operates in a number of countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Cyprus, Egypt, South Africa, Seychelles, Mauritius, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vanuatu and Australia.。

Its trading platform, Doo Prime, saw significant growth, with transactions exceeding $452.3 billion in the first six months of 2023, an annual growth rate of 39.4%。In addition, Doo Group's trading platform had more than 130,000 active customers at the end of the period.。
