Eurozone November Report 20.300 million euro trade surplus

Total euro-zone imports fell 16 percent year-on-year in November, according to Eurostat..7%, down to €232.2 billion。Total exports fell 4.7%, down to €252.5 billion。

At the end of November 2023, the euro area had a cumulative trade surplus of €49.7 billion, compared with a deficit of €323.7 billion in the same period in 2022.。

Meanwhile, the European Union recorded a trade surplus of €25.5 billion between January and November 2023 and a deficit of €423.1 billion in the same period in 2022.。

Considering the EU as a whole, total imports fell by 16.1 per cent, to €2,327 billion, with imports of energy products falling by 33.6%, raw material imports fell by 22.9%, machinery and vehicle imports fell by 1.3%。

Total exports were essentially flat at 2,352.5 billion euros, with machinery and vehicle exports up 9.1%, while exports of other manufacturing goods fell by 2.8%, chemical exports fell by 4.9%。
