O'Neill has been a long-time executive director of FairMarkets under license from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), beginning in 2015, before serving as CEO from 2020-2021 and again as Executive Director from 2021-2023.。He left FairMarkets after the company was acquired by Turkish brokerage group GKFX (now part of Trive).。
