Public launches browser-based stock trading and research platform

Online broker Public has announced the launch of a browser-based trading platform that will be used in conjunction with existing investment apps.。

Public 推出基于浏览器的股票交易和研究平台

The new platform, called Public for Web, runs on any network device through which users can trade any of 5,000 U.S.-listed stocks, and will also allow users to use a combination of fundamental data and custom analysis tools to study potential investment opportunities.。

Web Edition Public

Public will soon launch an AI-assisted investment system that can screen markets, summarize earnings calls and answer investor questions about market events。

Web users can also listen to earnings calls on demand, get real-time expert analysis of the latest market news, and view reports on industry trends, individual stocks, and economic data releases.。

Public, which is backed by a combination of venture capitalists and big names, differs from its U.S. counterparts in not participating in the controversial order traffic payment business.。

In this case, the retail broker sells its order stream to a market maker or high-frequency trader。This process raises questions about the best quality of execution and potential conflicts of interest。

Despite this, Public offers its UK customers commission-free trading in US equities during normal market hours。

Major brokers have launched desktop versions.

The social trading platform eToro is rapidly growing its business through the mobile ecosystem, but it also has a very friendly browser-based trading system.。

Interactive Brokers is one of the largest online stock trading companies, offering application-based trading, a browser-enabled customer portal and a dedicated downloadable trading platform.。

CMC Markets has a browser-based margin trading platform, but its CMC Invest division buys and sells stocks and funds primarily through a mobile app.。

IG Group also offers a combination of trading applications and online trading platforms for its physical stock trading clients.。

Browser-based platforms are very useful when you are trying to research stocks, view charts, and other information, because most mobile devices have small screens and cannot easily view this information。
