Reserve Bank of India expands cross-border payment platform

According to online reports, according to Bloomberg, India has reached agreements with neighboring countries Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Nepal and plans to include the United Arab Emirates in its cross-border settlement plan. India is also exploring the use of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) as the main settlement mechanism for its cross-border payment solutions.
