Andre Cronje: Coinbase has repeatedly asked for a coin deposit fee and is willing to publish the evidence it has."
On November 4th, Andre Cronje, co-founder of Sonic Labs (formerly Fantom), responded to a message that "Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said that there is no charge for listing coins on the platform." Binance did not charge any fees for listing coins, but Coinbase has repeatedly asked for fees and quoted US$300 million, US$50 million, and US$30 million. The most recent offer was US$60 million. I don't have a confidentiality agreement, so I'm happy to provide proof of that (asking prices come from multiple Coinbase employees/departments, over the years via email, Telegram, and Slack). Coinbase can argue that this is not a coinage fee, but an Earn Fee, but this will still translate into the coinage cost of the project."
