Robinhood推出加密交易API服务

Robinhood (NYSE: HOOD) has launched a cryptocurrency trading API service, enabling users to create their own trading programs and execute trades using algorithms, with the aim of simplifying the trading process, allowing for diversified strategies, and meeting the needs of both seasoned and novice traders exploring the market.

Accessibility Around the Clock

Robinhood's API enables users to engage in automated trading around the clock, allowing for flexibility to respond to market fluctuations regardless of time zones. Unlike traditional stock markets, the cryptocurrency market operates 24/7, presenting unique challenges and opportunities.

According to Robinhood, the introduction of the cryptocurrency trading API fosters a collaborative environment where users can share their code and trading strategies with others, enriching the trading community and enabling individuals to learn from each other's experiences and insights.

John Kerbrat, Vice President and General Manager of Robinhood's Crypto Division, mentioned, "Through our new cryptocurrency trading API, we are empowering customers to confidently leverage the full potential of Robinhood Crypto. As customers gain access to increasingly advanced trading tools, Robinhood Crypto's market share continues to grow, helping them effectively navigate the cryptocurrency market."

The company emphasizes that security is a top priority and is committed to providing customers with a secure trading environment. Users can create credentials by accessing the Robinhood API credentials portal and obtain API keys associated with their accounts to unlock access to API functionality.

Expanding Robinhood's Business

This month, Robinhood introduced an exclusive cryptocurrency staking service for European customers, starting with Solana. The company also launched its cryptocurrency investment app in three European countries: Italy, Poland, and Lithuania, to meet the local demand for cryptocurrency services, as they are among the countries in Europe with the highest downloads of the Robinhood Crypto app.

Since its launch in Europe six months ago, Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Solana, and Ethereum have been the most favored cryptocurrencies among European users, reflecting an increase in trading volume.

Despite regulatory uncertainty, the profitability of Robinhood's cryptocurrency business has been acknowledged. Recent reports indicate a significant increase in cryptocurrency revenue due to surging trading volumes. However, regulatory challenges persist due to potential enforcement actions by the U.S. SEC regarding Robinhood's cryptocurrency trading business.
