U.S. 10-year Treasury yields hit 2025 lows, traders increase bets on interest rate cuts
Internet reported that U.S. Treasuries rose, with the 10-year Treasury yield falling 10 basis points as traders increased bets on the Federal Reserve's interest rate cut and Donald Trump's tariff plan suppressed risk appetite. The yield on 10-year U.S. bonds fell below 4.30%, the lowest level in more than two months. The money market signaled that the Federal Reserve would further relax monetary policy, fully absorbing the expectation of the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates twice by 25 basis point this year for the first time in four weeks. Yields on 10-year U.S. bonds hit a new low this year in the past week as investors became more confident that the U.S. economy was weakening and interest rate cuts would resume.
