US congressional working group plans to conduct a comprehensive review of the Federal Reserve
Online reports, according to foreign media reports, the head of a new congressional committee aimed at strengthening congressional oversight of the Federal Reserve plans to conduct an extensive review of how the Federal Reserve makes interest rate decisions, including whether controlling inflation should be prioritized before ensuring jobs. "A lot of my colleagues on the Financial Services Committee and the chairman want to discuss this issue," said Republican U.S. Rep. Frank Lucas. The first hearing of the Task Force on Monetary Policy, Bond Market Resilience and Economic Prosperity will be held next week. They will ask questions about the dual mission and how this affects the top priority of price stability.
