House Republicans have established a "Congressional Cryptocurrency Caucus" to promote friendly policy legislation.
According to online reports, Fox reporter Eleanor Terrett said that House Republican whip Tom Emmer and Representative Ritchie Torres are joining forces to form the Congressional Crypto Caucus, a bipartisan initiative aimed at promoting the development of crypto-friendly policies in the House. Unlike the Congressional Blockchain Caucus established in 2017, the group will operate more as a voting group to mobilize support for the digital asset bill being developed in the House, including the stablecoin and Market Structure bills. Rep. Emmer said the caucus was formed in response to millions of U.S. voters voting in November for candidates who prioritized the development of digital assets and blockchain technology.
