Dominic Johnson, Secretary of State for Business and Trade, said at the Foreign Direct Investment Summit at Hampton Court Palace on 27 November that "Chinese investment is essential if we are to achieve our net zero (emissions) targets... I welcome greater business cooperation between the UK and China in terms of mutual investment.。He added, "Of course, I have an ambition to try to attract a Chinese car manufacturer (to invest in the UK)."。"China has a very strong electric vehicle industry.。I hope they make great cars in the UK, and then we can profit from it and export。Johnson said.。
