We have reduced costs and risks and enhanced the integrity of our two largest markets-the nearly $60 trillion stock market and the $28 trillion treasury bond market; 2. We have helped improve the transparency and integrity of corporate governance of listed companies, including implementing new cooling-off periods and other conditions before company insiders who may have significant non-public information trade their corporate securities; 3. We have rules that require regulated broker-dealers and investment advisers to notify clients of data breaches that could put personal information at risk; 4. We have laid the foundation for an important debate about the increasingly widespread use of artificial intelligence in the financial sector; 5. We have updated rules in the stock and treasury markets to shorten settlement cycles; and 6. We have returned more than $2.7 billion to damaged investors.
