A Pennsylvania man faces six years in prison for filing false tax returns related to the sale of CryptoPunks
The Internet reported,"A Pennsylvania man may face up to six years in prison after pleading guilty to filing false tax returns to conceal millions of dollars in sales of CryptoPunks." Waylon Wilcox, 45, pleaded guilty in federal court on April 9 that he understated more than $13 million in income from 97 CryptoPunks transactions between 2021 and 2022. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of Pennsylvania, the unreported gains reduced his tax bill by more than $3.2 million."
