Amid confusion about the legality of Millay's tweets, the market value of the token quickly soared to about $4.5 billion, amid speculation that his account might have been hacked or that a fraudster had deceived him. Five hours later, Millay deleted the post, saying he "didn't know the details of the project." Now that he learned the news, he has chosen not to continue promoting it.
