An official from the UK's National Crime Agency has been charged with allegedly stealing 50 bitcoins in 2017
Internet reports that according to British media Sky News, British police and prosecutors said that a National Crime Investigation Agency (NCA) official was suspected of stealing nearly 60,000 pounds of Bitcoin during an investigation of online organized crime and has been charged. A Merseyside Police spokesman said 42-year-old Paul Chowles was charged with 15 counts related to the alleged theft of 50 bitcoins in 2017. Eight years ago, these cryptocurrencies were worth nearly £ 60,000, but now they are worth more than £ 3 million. Chowles will appear in Liverpool District Court next month.
