Deutsche Bank: Bank of England may cut interest rates to 3.5% before year-end
According to online reports, Deutsche Bank Research expects that the Bank of England will cut interest rates four more times in 2025, reducing interest rates to 3.50%. However, Sanjay Raja, an economist at the bank, said in a report that interest rates should remain unchanged at 4.50% in the Bank of England's next decision on March 20. "In our view, a 'gradual and prudent' approach is not conducive to continuous interest rate cuts-especially as the overall CPI rises," Raja said. LSEG data shows that the market expects the Bank of England to keep interest rates unchanged in March to be 92%, and the Bank of England will cut interest rates twice more in 2025.
