Tether may launch a new stablecoin specifically in the US domestic market."
Internet reports that Tether may launch a new token specifically for the U.S. domestic market. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said in an interview that the company has been involved in discussions about U.S. stablecoin rules and may create a token that is only for the United States, depending on the progress of these discussions. Paolo Ardoino said that the Trump administration views stablecoins as "an important tool for the United States" and that if new rules are introduced to make stablecoins competitive, Tether may be interested in creating a "native U.S." stablecoin, basically a "settlement currency."
