After increasing its monthly production of the MAX to 38 in June this year, Boeing's next plan is to produce 42 MAX per month by January 2024 and 47 MAX per month by mid-2024, according to people familiar with the matter.。Finally, we hope to restore production to about 50 vehicles by 2025 or 2026.。

A successful price tag of 52 jets by January 2025 would allow Boeing to defend a 40 percent market share in the narrow-body market, which analysts say is the lowest level needed to maintain a duopoly as rival Airbus also increases single-aisle production.。
Airbus on Thursday announced plans to build a new production line in China, which is expected to produce 65 single-aisle jets per month by the end of 2024, before reaching its final goal of 75 per month by 2026.。
Michel Merluzou, an aerospace analyst at aviation consulting firm, said Boeing's plan seemed "relatively realistic because... their suppliers can't do that, so they don't want to lose everything and they don't want to rush interest rates right away."。
However, Richard Aboulafia, an aerospace analyst at AeroDynamic Advisors, said that if Airbus A321neo sales continue to be strong, Boeing's market share could shrink further in the second half of the 2020s.。
"Boeing doesn't actually have plans for more than 52 (MAX) and is unlikely to do so.。Airbus, yes, they'll get to 75。It's just a question of when, it's mainly because of the strength of the A321neo, "he said.。
Another key consideration is the health of Boeing's supply chain, which is struggling to hire and train workers, an issue that has led to parts shortages.。Meanwhile, production of the 737 MAX appears to be stabilizing as Boeing's hiring bears fruit, Merluzou said.。
Boeing's guidance gives suppliers some of the clear production plans necessary, but both Aboulafia and Merluzou say the company needs to ensure its small suppliers remain financially healthy under economic pressure.。
