U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis mentions Bitcoin in response to U.S. sovereign wealth funds

Internet reports that U.S. President Trump signed an executive order on Monday calling for the establishment of a sovereign wealth fund in the next year. However, the executive order contained few details on the text and only instructed the Treasury and Commerce Departments to submit plans for such funds within 90 days, including recommendations on "financing mechanisms, investment strategies, fund structures and governance models." However, Bitcoin advocate and U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis mentioned Bitcoin in response to the news. She posted on X saying "This is a big transaction" and used the Bitcoin symbol, which excited cryptocurrency enthusiasts. It is unclear how the U.S. sovereign wealth fund will be constructed and funded. According to the New York Times and the Financial Times, the Biden administration also considered establishing such a fund in November last year before Trump was elected.
