Internet reports that Vinay Gupta, a technical expert who helped coordinate the release of Ethereum, said he is seeking to push a sensible encryption policy to President-elect Donald Trump's transition team. In addition, inspired in part by Trump's landslide victory on Election Day, Gupta is considering moving himself and his team from U.K. blockchain company Mattereum to the United States. He added: "We plan to move people (including me) to Washington, D.C. soon to help transform cryptocurrency in the United States." Vinay Gupta said part of his plan includes copying some of the policies he helped develop in the UK, including a recently proposed parliamentary bill that seeks to formally define crypto assets as property and a successful push for the country to recognize smart contracts as "actual contracts."
