Online reported that Mark T., acting chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Uyeda instructed agency staff on Saturday to review several previously issued employee statements regarding the application of laws on cryptocurrency investments and digital asset securities. The directive was issued under Executive Order 14192 (entitled "Promoting Prosperity through Deregulation") and responds to recommendations from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Uyeda said it will review the statements to determine whether they need to be "revised or revoked" to align with the SEC's current priorities.
