Internet reports that Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on Tesla's (TSLA.O) earnings conference call that he would continue to advocate for tariff reductions, but the decision on tariffs would be entirely up to US President Trump. Musk said,"I will provide my advice to the president, and the president will listen to me, but ultimately he will make the decision himself." I have stated publicly many times that I believe lowering tariffs is usually good for prosperity, but that decision ultimately lies with the elected president who represents the people. So I will continue to advocate lower tariffs rather than higher tariffs, but that's all I can do."
