United Neta L comparable to BYD Song Plus

Neta L is the latest model from United Motors。This new energy SUV aims to compete with BYD Song Plus (Seal-U in Europe) and Tesla Model Y。The car uses a single motor with a power of 170 kilowatts (231 horsepower) and is equipped with an LFP battery produced by Great Wall Motor subsidiary SVOLT。
Nezha Automobile is China's mainstream new energy vehicle brand launched in 2018。It focuses on the production of electric vehicles and range extenders。Its current models include Neta Aya, Neta X, Neta S and Neta GT。It started as a low-cost brand, but now Nezha is slowly moving to the high end of the market.。Now, the Chinese government has released the fifth model of the Nezha series。It will be put on the market next year under the name Neta L。

Previously, Neta L was codenamed EP32。It is a mid-size SUV that will compete with BYD Song Plus and Tesla Model Y。Neta L is based on the mountain-sea architecture, which is the basis of the Neta S sedan and Neta GT coupe。It uses a new minimalist design language。Its front shape has the shadow of Mitsubishi Lancer X and Mitsubishi ASX。Neta L has a large air intake under the front bumper。In addition, it is also equipped with retractable door handles, plastic moldings on fenders and a single tail light unit。
The body size of Neta L SUV is 4770 / 1900 / 1660mm, and the wheelbase is 2810mm。It is 15mm shorter and 8mm lower than BYD Song Plus (Seal-U)。Neta L with 5-seat interior layout。The front and rear track are 1613 mm and 1626 mm respectively。The approach angle and departure angle are 18 degrees and 21 degrees respectively。Neta L is available in two wheels: 225 / 55 R19 and 225 / 60 R18。
Neta L Electric Vehicle Powertrain
Previously, the pure electric vehicle Neta L had been road tested in China and was equipped with an LFP battery pack from FinDreams (a subsidiary of BYD)。However, it has been revealed that Great Wall Motor's SVOLT will provide battery packs for Neta L。
Neta L EV has a curb weight of 1935 kg and a total weight of 2310 kg。It is equipped with a 170-kilowatt (231 horsepower) electric motor of the TZ210XS001 type。Its manufacturer is CRRC。Since the entry-level Neta S and Neta GT also use RWD, the electric motor is likely to be installed on the rear axle of Neta L。Its top speed can reach 180 km / h。The battery pack of this SUV is an LFP battery pack from Honeycomb Energy。But its capacity has not yet been announced。
Neta L EREV Powertrain
The Neta L equipped with a range extender uses the same electric engine with a power of 170 kilowatts (231 horsepower)。But under the hood, this SUV is equipped with Dongfeng's H15R 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a power of 67 kilowatts。Since it is a range extender, it does not transmit any torque to the wheels, but acts as a generator。
Neta L EREV also comes with SVOLT's LFP battery。Its capacity is 30 kWh。Therefore, in full electric mode, it can travel 164 kilometers on a single charge。Government regulator did not disclose its hybrid range。
Neta L will enter the Chinese market in 2024。Since its competitor is BYD Song Plus, its price range will be RMB 150,000-250,000 (2.10,000 - 3.$50,000) or so。We will continue to pay attention to this car, so stay tuned!
