On April 10th, Alibaba founder Jack Ma posted on the company's intranet after five years, sharing his views on company reform and future prospects.

In this article titled "To Reform and Innovation," Jack Ma first expressed his appreciation for the recent attitude of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Joseph Tsai, in facing the company's mistakes in an interview.

Earlier this month, Joseph Tsai reflected on Alibaba's situation over the past few years in an interview with Nicolai Tangen, Chief Investment Officer of Norwegian Sovereign Wealth Fund. Cai Chongxin bluntly stated in an interview, "When we examine internally and reflect on the situation over the past few years, we find ourselves falling behind because we have forgotten who our true customers are. Our customers are users who use our application to shop, and we have not provided them with the best experience. So to some extent, we are somewhat self reliant..."

After examining the company's issues, Joseph Tsai said, "The first thing we do is admit our mistakes. We acknowledge that we may not have focused on user experience in the past. The second thing is to restructure our personnel and change the organizational structure that aligns with the strategy."

In the latest intranet article, Jack Ma acknowledged Joseph Tsai's move: "Thank you for Joe's courage and responsibility. There are mistakes that are not scary, no one is not wrong, what is truly scary is not knowing, not admitting, and not correcting them."

Moreover, Jack Ma also affirmed the reforms made by Joseph Tsai and Eddie Wu over the past year. Jack Ma stated that the two of them have led Alibaba in a series of future oriented changes over the past year with admirable courage and wisdom.

As mentioned in Joseph Tsai's interview, Jack Ma believes that the most crucial change for Alibaba this year is to recognize oneself and return to the customer value track. Alibaba has also undergone drastic organizational reforms internally, making the company simpler and more agile.

Jack Ma also believes that in this era of tremendous technological change, three to five years is enough to bring about earth shattering changes. "The important thing is not who to catch up with today, but how to improve the consumer experience of tomorrow's e-commerce." Jack Ma wrote, "The AI era has just arrived, everything has just begun, and we are at the right time!"

At the end of the article, Jack Ma expressed gratitude to Alibaba's employees and encouraged them to move forward together to build a better Alibaba.
