Japanese-listed company Metaplanet has repaid 2 billion yen bonds in advance."
Internet reports, Cointelegraph reported that Japanese-listed company Metaplanet has fully repaid bonds worth 2 billion yen (US$13.5 million) in advance in order to consolidate its financial position. Metaplanet early redeemed its ninth series of ordinary bonds on April 4, more than five months before the maturity date, and the company disclosed the news on April 7. The zero-coupon bonds were issued in March through Metaplanet's Evo Fund to acquire additional bitcoin (BTC, priced at $78,509). The company said that since these bonds are zero-coupon bonds, the repayment will not have a material impact on the company's results for the fiscal year 2025.
