Ethereum's Pectra upgrade will begin testing in February and is expected to land on the Ethereum main network in April."
Internet reports that Taifang's "Pectra" upgrade will be available on Holesky and Sepolia test sites in February and March. Pectra will include a range of improvements, with a special focus on wallets and validators. If these tests are successful, developers will meet again on March 6 to determine when the upgrade will officially be launched. Some developers are now saying it may land on the main network in early April. Pectra is a compound word that stands for two separate upgrades, Prague and Electra, which contain eight major improvements to the second-largest blockchain. The most anticipated of these is EIP-7702, which aims to improve the user experience of crypto-wallets. Another key feature of Pectra, EIP-7251, will allow verifiers to increase their pledge count-from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH.
