Apple iPhone 16 Series Discounts During Double 11 Festival
The official flagship store of Apple Store offers discounts on the entire iPhone 16 series during the Double 11 promotion to boost sales of new phones.
The official flagship store of Apple Store offers discounts for the entire iPhone 16 series during the Double 11 promotion. The original price of each model ranging from 5,999 yuan to 9,999 yuan is reduced by 500 yuan based on the price after the coupon. In addition, if consumers choose to trade in old phones for new ones, they can receive a subsidy of up to 1,100 yuan, bringing the maximum discount of the iPhone 16 series to 1,600 yuan, in order to increase the sales of new phones and stimulate market vitality.
Although the market response to the iPhone 16 series has been enthusiastic since its launch, sales have not reached the level of iPhone 15 in the same period last year. Analysts pointed out that the lack of highlights in artificial intelligence (AI) services, coupled with reduced consumer spending, has led to a decline in demand. At the same time, the rapid rise of local competitors such as Huawei has posed greater market challenges to Apple. Apple's previous high-price strategy has gradually adjusted under market pressure, and it has begun to promote sales with a more flexible pricing strategy.
In addition to the Double 11 discounts of Apple Store, e-commerce platforms such as Pinduoduo and JD.com have also actively participated in the price war, offering larger price cuts and additional services. The price of iPhone 16 on Pinduoduo can be as low as 5,399 yuan, a 600 yuan reduction from the official price, while JD.com offers AppleCare+ service for free when purchasing the iPhone 16 series. These online promotions have further intensified market competition and put additional pressure on Apple.
Tianfeng Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's analysis shows that Apple currently maintains assembly orders for the iPhone 16 series, but it is expected that some parts orders may decrease after mid-November, mainly affecting the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models. This forecast reflects the uncertainty Apple faces in the Chinese market and shows that Apple's response strategy still needs further adjustment in the fierce competition.
