Dell and NVIDIA Collaborate to Improve xAI Grok Training Efficiency
Dell's partnership with NVIDIA will significantly improve the training efficiency of Musk xAI's AI model Grok and drive further development of AI technology.
Recently, Dell (NYSE: DELL) announced a collaboration with Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) to establish an AI factory aimed at significantly enhancing the training capabilities of the AI model Grok for xAI development. Dell CEO Michael Dell revealed this news on the X platform.
Grok is a generative AI chatbot created by Elon Musk's xAI company. Based on a large language model, it can process visual information such as documents, charts, screenshots, and paragraphs, and it possesses powerful text processing capabilities.
When Musk announced the AI factory on the X platform, he stated, "Specifically, Dell is assembling half of the racks that will go into the xAI supercomputer." When asked which company xAI is collaborating with, Musk responded "SMC," referring to Super Micro Computer (NASDAQ: SMCI).
In May 2024, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated, "I am pleased to announce that the AI factory jointly launched by Dell and Nvidia is entering the market today, covering the research and production of both CPUs and GPUs."
