ASIC revokes Brava Capital's AFS license
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has revoked the Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) held by Sydney-based Brava Capital Pty Ltd.。
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has cancelled the Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) held by Sydney Brava Capital Pty Ltd, formerly known as Dayton Road Securities Pty Ltd for the period 2010 to August 2023.。
The licence cancellation took effect on 5 February 2024 after Brava Capital notified ASIC that it was no longer providing financial services.。
Brava Capital has been licensed by the U.S. Standard since March 15, 2011, which authorizes the company to advise retail and wholesale customers on financial products.。In October 2023, Brava Capital was charged with the criminal offence of failing to file financial accounts following ASIC's investigation.。
Sydney businessman David Sutton was a director at Brava Capital from 2010 to 2023.。ASIC permanently prohibits David Sutton from providing any financial services, performing any functions related to the conduct of financial services business, and controlling entities conducting financial services business on June 29, 2023。ASIC also disqualified Sutton from managing the company for five years.。
