CONSOB BANDS ACCESS TO SITE OF SEGUROFX AND SIGMA CAPITAL
Italy's CONSOB has issued an order banning access to five unauthorized investment websites.
The Italian Companies and Exchange Commission (CONSOB) has ordered the blocking of access to five unauthorized investment websites.
In issuing these orders, the agency utilized the powers granted by the "Growth Decree" (Law No. 58 of June 28, 2019, Article 36, paragraph 2-terdecies). According to this decree, CONSOB can instruct internet service providers to block access within Italy to websites offering financial services without proper authorization.
The latest websites to be blocked include:
- Bcs-gm" (website https://bcs-gm.com and related page https://my.bcs-gm.com);
- "Sigma Capital" (website https://sigmacap.co);
- "Capitalpartners24" (website https://capitalpartners24.eu);
- "SEGUROFX" (website https://segurofx.com and related page https://my.segurofx.com);
- "Mestieriplaza" (website www.mestieriplaza.com).
Since July 2019, when CONSOB obtained the power to block fraudulent financial intermediary websites, the number of blocked websites has risen to 1,084. Last week, the regulator ordered the blocking of four unauthorized investment websites.
The blocking of these websites by internet service providers within Italy is ongoing. Due to technical reasons, it may take a few days to implement the blockades.
