The UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has announced the cancellation of part 4A licensing for the Cypriot company Felicitas Management Investment Services.。
The FCA explained that it had sent Felicitas a notification of its decision informing it that under section 55J of the Act and section 8 (5) (a) of the EEA Passport Rights (Amendment etc and Transitional Provisions) (EU Withdrawal) Regulation 2018, the Authority had decided to cancel Felicitas "Part 4A licence.。
Felicitas did not bring the matter before the Tribunal within 28 days from the date of receipt of the notice of decision。As a result, the Authority today cancelled Felicitas' Part 4A licence。
The FCA notes that on 12 April 2021, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) revoked Felicitas' licence on the grounds that Felicitas failed to comply with laws and regulations relating to the conditions of registration of investment companies in Cyprus.。
In light of these matters, the Superintendency Authority considers it advisable to remove Felicitas "Part 4A licence in order to protect and strengthen the integrity of the UK financial system.。
