Former Goldman Sachs Executive Nikolay Karpenko as Director of B2C2

Nikolay Karpenko has joined London-based digital assets firm B2C2 as sales director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, leading the company's expansion across the region.

Nikolay Karpenko has joined London-based digital asset firm B2C2 as director of sales for EMEA. In his new role, Karpenko will lead the company's expansion in the EMEA region. Prior to that, he spent nearly seven years at Goldman Sachs as Executive Director of Digital Assets and Executive Director of Emerging Markets Sales.

Leading the EMEA expansion

Nikolay Karpenko said on LinkedIn: "After seven years at Goldman Sachs, I have joined B2C2 to lead business expansion in EMEA. Working with Thomas Restout, Zeke Vince, James Hume, Edmond G., Jad Sarmo, and the rest of the team, we are committed to opening up institutional access to digital asset markets globally, increasing economic freedom and efficiency."

Nikolay Karpenko is a seasoned executive who has worked for leading brands such as Societe Generale, Thomson Reuters, VTB Capital, Credit Suisse and Deloitte. At Société Générale, he was Vice President of Corporate Derivatives Sales, and at Thomson Reuters, he was Head of Corporate and Solutions Sales.

Leadership Resume

Earlier this year, B2C2 promoted Thomas Restoutto to Group CEO. Previously, Nicola White joined B2C2 in July 2021 and was promoted in November 2022 to CEO.

Restout joined B2C2 in September 2022 from Morgan Stanley, where he held the position of Global Head of Macro Electronic Trading. At Morgan Stanley, he contributed to the Digital Currency Working Group and led cryptocurrency trading in the Fixed Income division. Notably, Restout was one of the earliest investors in B2C2 and played a crucial role in the firm's strategic decisions, such as pursuing over-the-counter (OTC) trading and expanding into Japan.
