Google reportedly cuts at least 100 jobs in its cloud business
According to media reports, Alphabet's Google will lay off at least 100 employees from multiple teams in its cloud business.
On Monday, media reported that Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet, will lay off at least 100 employees from multiple teams in its cloud field.
The report mentioned that some of the positions that were laid off this time include sales, operations and engineering, consulting, and "go to market" strategy departments.
"We will continue to change our business to meet the goals of our customers and the enormous opportunities ahead," said a Google spokesperson. "We are committed to investing in areas that are crucial to our business and ensuring our long-term success.".
Previously, Google laid off employees from multiple teams in April due to cost cutting, and the specific number of layoffs is unclear.
In January this year, Google also laid off hundreds of employees, joining the ranks of layoffs in the Internet industry. These companies indicate that layoffs are due to the company's struggle with economic uncertainty.
