Nine Realms: More than 30 nodes have requested to exit the THORChain network "
Internet reports that on February 2, Nine Realms said on the X platform that as of the posting, a total of 31 nodes had requested to exit the THORChain network. The network is experiencing shrinkage due to falling RUNE prices and node exits, but the protocol's core blockchain and Swap features remain operating normally. In order to protect users from current market fluctuations, many integration partners have currently suspended services. Nine Realms also proposes to implement the current version of the Priority Haircuts Proposal. Implementation of the proposal would provide savers and borrowers with options to exit their positions at a discount; these discounts could gradually decrease as conditions stabilize and network health improves. Although the network is shrinking, the remaining nodes and underlying liquidity will allow the network to continue to generate revenue, driving progress towards an orderly exit plan. It also stated that it would immediately initiate a vote by node operators to confirm the implementation of this plan. In addition, Nine Realms said it will always be firmly committed to supporting the network and will make every effort to keep the agreement operating normally, with the goal of allowing borrowers and depositors to eventually recover funds, believing that implementing the proposal provides the "best opportunity" for the network to survive.
