U.S. Economy Expands More Than Expected in Fourth Quarter 2023

In the fourth quarter of 2023, the U.S. economy grew at an annualized rate of 3.3% growth, exceeding market expectations of 2%。Preliminary data show slower growth in consumer spending (YoY growth of 2.8%, compared to 3 in the third quarter.1%), service consumption accelerated (YoY growth 2.4%, compared to 2 in the third quarter.2%)。

Throughout 2023, U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 2.5%, compared to 1 in 2022.9% growth improved, but was slightly lower than the Fed's 2.6% forecast。
