YiShiDe Criticizes Li Xiang's Ethics, Li Auto Responds and Reports to Police
YiShiDe issued a statement saying it would terminate all relationships with Ideal Motors and condemned the company and its founder Li Lian for unethical behavior. Ideal Motors later hit back, saying it had called the police in response to the rumors posted by YiShiDe.
At noon on August 20, the official microblog of Li Auto's legal department posted a clarification that the company has never conducted any business negotiation and cooperation with YiShiDe (Beijing) Medical Technology Co.
According to public information, YiShiDe was founded on November 2, 2022, with a registered capital of RMB 100,000, and is an enterprise mainly engaged in the promotion of science and technology and application services.
YiShiDe's official WeChat public number describes that “YiShiDe Artificial Intelligence AI Cloud Diagnostic Monitoring System, is the world's leading AI diagnostic provider, user's cell phone uploading photos and videos to physical examination of the whole body to comprehensive diseases, has developed 1,700+ disease identification, accuracy rate of more than 90%, there are 33 countries around the world in which users are using AI Cloud Diagnostics testing and screening service.”
Both sides accuse each other
Li Auto's latest response is to a statement released by YiShiDe on August 19th. In YiShiDe's statement, the company said it would terminate all relationships with Li Auto and claimed that Li Auto had swindled it into writing an apology letter, which it then used to malign YiShiDe.
It's worth noting that YiShiDe's statement also contains some wording and content that is rarely seen in normal statements.
For example, YiShiDe mentioned that it will abandon Li and look for Huawei for cooperation in the field of smart cars, and “blocked Li Auto and its partners' cooperation in the application of AI health field.”
YiShiDe even condemned the unethical behavior of Li Auto and its founder Li, saying that it was vindictive, while also “cursing” Li Auto's founder Li, saying that in the future, it would “regularly publish Li's body data based on the Internet's open data training and identification, and if Li's classmates do not intervene in the training and identification of Li's body data on the Internet, Li's classmates will be able to get a better understanding of Li's health. Li Auto will “regularly publish data on Li's body that is recognized by training based on publicly available data on the Internet, and if he doesn't intervene, he will die of liver cancer in the near future.”
Li Auto immediately hit back at YiShiDe, saying that on July 12, the company had already issued a statement through the official microblog of the legal department to clarify the facts. In response to the online rumors spread by YiShiDe, Li Auto has called the police.
Li Auto also released a timeline of this dispute with YiShiDe.
On a certain date in June 2024, while Mr. Li Want was out for dinner, a passerby claimed to be a Li Auto owner and took a group photo.
On the evening of June 22, 2024, posters of Li Auto's AI medical cooperation with YiShiDe and other rumor-mongering content appeared on various online platforms, as well as a group photo with Mr. Li Want.
On June 25, 2024, Li Auto sent a lawyer's letter to YiShiDe, requesting it to stop the infringement and take the corresponding legal responsibility.
On July 3, 2024, Zhou, who claimed to be a staff member of YiShiDe, contacted Li Auto's legal department. During the communication between the two parties about the apology, Zhou proposed to use the incident for marketing hype, which was rejected by Li Auto.
On July 6, 2024, Zhou issued a letter of apology stamped with YiShiDe's seal.
On July 12, 2024, Li Auto's legal department issued an official statement reminding consumers not to be deceived.
On August 19, 2024, Li Auto found the appearance of YiShiDe Company's “Solemn Statement” on platforms such as Xiaohongshu, Shake Tone, Weibo, etc. The content of the statement once again fabricated rumors that YiShiDe Company and Li Auto would stop all cooperation, blocked Li Auto, and fabricated rumors about Mr. Li Want's physical condition.
On August 20, 2024, Li Auto reported to the public security authorities.
Li Auto shares opened high and closed low
On August 20, Li Auto's Hong Kong shares opened high and low, up nearly 4% at one point in the opening session, and then shook downward, closing at HK$81.45 that day, narrowing the gain to 1%. It is unclear whether Li Auto's share price volatility was affected by the dispute with YiShiDe.
However, Li Auto's rise in early trading today may be related to the good results it sent out yesterday. in the evening of the 19th, Li Auto released the sales list of new power brands in the Chinese market for the 33rd week of 2024 (8.12-8.18). In the list, Li Auto's weekly sales amounted to 10,700 units, which is the 17th consecutive week that it has won the first place in sales of new power brands in the Chinese market.
