Hispanolistic/E+ via Getty Images Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) defeated a three-year-old patent case on Friday, in which Identity Security claimed the company infringed on four of its security patents, Bloomberg Law reported. Identity Security wanted $300M from Apple for allegedly taking its patented technology and putting it into its iPhones, the report said. However, an Austin federal jury for the US District Court of the Western District of Texas determined Apple did not infringe on the patents in question, which were related to Face ID, Touch ID and passcode security measures. Apple was represented by Desmarais LLP, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and Morrison & Foerster LLP law firms.
