The lawsuit is an extension of the "protracted" AppStore commission strategy between Epic and Apple, the 30% "Apple tax" lawsuit.。Previously, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals had ruled that Apple could not prevent developers from adopting third-party payment platforms in their apps.。But in July, Apple appealed the matter to the U.S. Supreme Court, hoping to reconsider the ruling, during which Apple can get a 90-day grace period and does not need to modify its commission strategy.。
