EU announces countervailing investigation into Chinese electric vehicles

The European Commission on Wednesday launched a countervailing investigation into imports of electric vehicles from China to determine whether to impose punitive tariffs on them, aimed at protecting EU producers from state-subsidized and cheaper Chinese goods.。European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that more and more cheaper electric vehicles are appearing on the global market, and the prices of these vehicles are artificially low due to huge state subsidies。This is the decisive reason why the EU finally considers launching an investigation into China's electric vehicles。
