Arkansas Senate vetoes bill to ban cryptocurrency mining near military facilities
Online reports, The Block reported that the Arkansas Senate Cities, County and Local Affairs Committee voted 6 - 1 to veto a bill that would ban the establishment of cryptocurrency mining businesses within 30 miles of military facilities. The bill originally included an emergency provision that would allow the state government to revoke the business license of licensed cryptocurrency mining facilities if they were located near a military facility. The bill says the measure is necessary to ensure the health and safety of Arkansas and its citizens.
