Goldman Sachs cuts its S & P 500 target for the end of 2025

According to online reports, Goldman Sachs lowered its target price for the S & P 500 index for the end of 2025 from 6,500 points to 6,200 points, reflecting the agency's adjustment of its fair forward price-to-earnings ratio (P/E) valuation from 21.5 times to 20.6 times, a drop of 4%. At the same time, the earnings per share (EPS) forecast for index components has been lowered. The EPS forecast for 2024 will be reduced from US$268 to US$262, and the forecast for 2025 will be reduced from US$288 to US$280. (Jin Shi)
