BYD to enter Pakistani market to build factory

BYD to start selling in Pakistan in 2024。The company is also believed to be planning to build a plant to produce cars from 2026.。

BYD will hold a brand launch in Pakistan on August 17 and showcase three models that will be sold in the market.。The three models are believed to include SUVs and sedans。The most likely candidates for these three cars are the three models that BYD usually introduces when it enters the market, namely the Atto 3 SUV, Dolphin small hatchback and Seal sedan。According to people familiar with the matter, BYD plans to sell all-electric and plug-in hybrid models on the market in the future。

To tap into the Pakistani market, BYD has partnered with Mega Conglomerate Pvt, one of Pakistan's largest business groups.。Accord Ding Bloomberg said the deal went beyond the dealer model in most markets.。
