ZKsync developer Matter Labs accused by BANKEX of stealing intellectual property

Internet reports that the defunct blockchain company BANKEX has filed a lawsuit against Matter Labs, the developer of the second-layer network ZKsync, accusing it of stealing intellectual property rights. The lawsuit alleges that Alexandr Vlasov and Petr Korolev, two former BANKEX employees of Matter Labs, secretly transferred the company's technology and founded Matter Labs while developing Plasma, an Ethereum expansion solution. The lawsuit also names Matter Labs co-founder Alex Gluchowski, crypto investment fund Dragonfly and Placeholder Capital partner Chris Burniske as defendants. A spokesman for Matter Labs responded that the allegations were "baseless" and emphasized that ZKsync was original technology and was not based on or derived from any BANKEX code.
