US Senate committee votes to approve Howard Lutnick's nomination for Commerce Secretary

According to online reports, the U.S. Senate committee voted to approve the nomination of U.S. Commerce Secretary nominee Howard Lutnick with a vote of 16 to 12. Lutnick is currently CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, which manages the multibillion-dollar U.S. Treasury business for Tether. As an open supporter of Bitcoin, Lutnick previously made a clear statement in an interview with CNBC: "I support cryptocurrencies, but specifically, I only support Bitcoin. No other tokens are considered."
