U.S. Rep. Mike Flood: Looking forward to working with next SEC chairman to revoke anti-crypto banking policy SAB 121
Internet reports that the U.S. House of Representatives will tell Rep. Mike Flood recently: "Despite widespread opposition, SAB121 still operates effectively as a statute, even though it has never gone through normal Administrative Procedure Act procedures." Flood said: "I look forward to working with the next SEC chairman to revoke SAB121. Whether Chairman Gary Gensler steps down on his own, or President Trump will fulfill his promise to fire Gensler, the new administration has an excellent opportunity to usher in a new era after Gensler leaves office." It added: "It should be no surprise that Gensler opposed passing the House digital asset regulatory framework on a bipartisan basis earlier this year. Seventy-one Democrats joined House Republicans in adopting the common-sense framework. Although the Democrat-led Senate refused to accept it, it represents a breakthrough moment for cryptocurrency and could inform the work of a unified Republican government when the next Congress begins next January."
