Fed Goolsbee: Interest rates will continue to fall

According to online reports, Federal Reserve Goolsbee said he expects the Federal Reserve to continue to cut interest rates in order to achieve the goal of neither restricting nor promoting economic activity. "Unless there is convincing evidence that the economy is overheating, I see no reason not to continue to cut the federal funds rate," Goolsbee said. "The speed of interest cuts depends on prospects and conditions. But in my opinion, we are on a clear path that will lead to lower interest rates and closer to neutral rates." He said his forecast for neutral interest rates was close to officials 'median estimate of 2.9% in September. Goolsbee said the overall situation in recent months has been that inflation has often been lower than expected, but has not been much higher than the 2% target.
