BaFin appoints Deutsche Bank as special representative due to customer service disruption

On 29 September 2023, the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) appointed a special representative for Deutsche Bank AG.。
The Special Representative is tasked with overseeing Deutsche Bank to ensure that issues affecting the retail banking operations of its Post Bank and DSL Bank branches are addressed promptly and comprehensively。
The Special Representative will report regularly to BaFin。They will focus on ensuring that banks process customer orders within a reasonable time and quickly deal with the backlog of outstanding customer orders.。
